Babies babies everywhere

A little tumbler  'I SPY' quilt for a little miracle baby boy ! I love making these tumblers and they come together so quickly and were cut just as quickly with the 6.5'' Accuquilt GO Cutter template. Was nice to use some of the fabrics I received in the mail from my blogging friend, Helen.

Lots of Excitement !

Phew, my family is keeping us on the run! Firstly our eldest daughter (below) got engaged only a month later than little sister! Two weddings at the end of the year (no not on the same day!)

Older daughter also being the Fine Arts Student, is  exibiting 7 art works at the Sydney Children's Hospital, sponsored by Louis Vuitton. She is soo excited... can you tell?

Oh and there seems to be babies being born all around us! This little quilt will be delivered soon to a cute little boy, called Luka.  (Lilly & Will fabric).

Kindermusik with Miss Minet

So proud of my daughter who just qualified to start teaching Kindermusik .   She is a full-time Visual Arts student in Sydney but also an amazing, humble musician.  I think she will be awesome!  If you have a minute say hi to Miss Minet on her Facebook page.

Happy sewing!

Batik Quilt for 21st

My Daughter was very proud to have been part of making this quilt for her boyfriend's 21st!

And who could guess that a week later they would be engaged to get married next year!
(At  least there is a good chance of the quilt staying in the family! )   haha

A little something on the side

At the rescent Sydney Craft show I bought Zpagetti yarn. It is THICK and you whip up something in a night! I can't really crochet and had to start over 3 times but still managed to fnish this in one day! Pretty exhausting, my hand was pretty tired! Fun though!

June Syrup

June Syrup is the name of my daughter brand new Etsy shop! Please be so kind to visit her! I am dazzled by GenY ! We gave her a overlocker (serger) for her birthday last month and the next day she bought some fabric and started sewing! Her shear determination is admirable. Why? Well she opened a shop on Etsy and listed all her new creations!    Last week we were away on holiday for a few days. She found very cute  things in gorgeous little shops and listed some more  things this morning! Hope June Syrup will grow to be a huge success !

Fun at Sydney Craft & Quilt Fair

It's always one of the highlights of the year, when we go down to the Sydney Craft and  Quilt Fair!

This year there was alot more knitting and crochet stands, lots of luxurious wool and embroidery yarns. Scrapbooking still seems to be very popular too. Wow and a huge comeback of tea cosies! Always new gadgety things to see at the shows too.

My daughter went to a show for the first time and enjoyed herself. She was intrigued by the silicone cake decorating moulds. We came home with a few and were eager to try them out the net day.

The Art you Wear Challenge was lovely. This Licorice All Sorts being my favourite and the winner.

The 'Decorate a Bra' competition for charity was fun to see!

We attended 3 or so workshop/demos which is always inspiring and helpful.

The Quilts on display are always amazing!

Now, back to reality.....
